PacNOG 7: Track 1 Course Web Site

Goals

To teach participants how to set up an operational network with multiple routers, using OSPF as an IGP and BGP as the routing mechanism to connect this network to other networks.

The workshop will also introduce all aspects of IPv6 required by an ISP for their Internet backbone.

The workshop has a further goal to introduce participants to VoIP configuration, and will prepare participants to allow them to offer VoIP services to their subscribers and users.

  • Track 1: Tuesday, June 29th - Saturday, July 3rd

Expectations

This is a technical workshop made up of lextures and hands-on lab work.

  • Routing: The workshop is open to technical staff who are now or soon will be building or operating a wide area TCP/IP base Internet Service Provider (ISP) network or Internet eXchange Point (IXP), likely with international and/or multi-provider connectivity.
  • VoIP: The workshop is open to technical staff who are now or soon will be deploying VoIP services on a IP based Internet Service Provider (ISP) network, Enterprise network or Campus network.
